Early Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn exhibits his deep understanding of the piano as a solo instrument on these three Preludes. These three pieces all express intense energy and dramatic force with lightning speed. Although Mendelssohn might have been one of the more traditional of the early Romantic composers, works such as these prove that his output is no less powerful or enduring than any of his contemporaries. The Master Classics: Mendelssohn 3 Preludes Opus 104 is a wonderful and lively piece that is very much representative of the composer's style.
