Impressive unison opens up Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Violins in A Major, with two violin soloists, string orchestra, and harpsichord continuo playing in perfect synchronicity for a good part of the movement. The second movement features pizzicato plucking on the part of the orchestra and lyrical violin soli, while the dramatic final movement employs octave-jumping melody lines.
