Freeplay’s music may be used in a presentation, provided that the use is part of school work or a school project that does not generate revenue and is not broadcast outside the classroom or off-campus in any way. Freeplay’s music may also be used for live presentations in the classroom or on–campus, provided that the use is part of school work or a school project that does not generate revenue and is not broadcast outside the classroom or off-campus in any way. Any other use of Freeplay’s music outside the classroom or off-campus requires a different license.

Classroom Use

For the use of one track in a revenue–generating school–related presentation or performance, for one year. All videos and presentations concerning school athletics require a business use license.

For the use of one track in a film to be submitted to unlimited student film festivals or competitions for up to one year solely for the purpose of submitting the film to and performing the film at such festival and excluding all other uses of the film.

Approved stations are those stations that (1) are broadcast on U.S. TV networks that can evidence a previously obtained, non-website generated FPM license (e.g., a license procured by telephone, email, or post) for the music; (2) have a current and valid public performance blanket license with each US performance rights societies ("PRO") (i.e. BMI/ASCAP/SESAC), which blanket license requires such station to report each use of the music; (3) provide payment to the copyright holders for each use of music; and (4) file all requisite cue sheets with each PRO for the use of the music.

U.S. National Network Show on Approved Stations

This license is for the use of one track in a television or radio promo, to be broadcast for up to one (1) year.

For the use of one track in one regional television or radio show as a background cue, and the rebroadcast of that show on web streaming sites posted on an unlimited number of Websites, for up to one year. “Regional” is defined as airing in up to five states.
