This pleasant sonata by little-known Baroque composer Johannes Prentzel features all of the compositional quirks of the Baroque era. This rendition of the piece features trombone in place of bassoon and organ playing the continuo part. The trumpet and trombone weave melodic lines together gracefully as the organ gives harmonic grounding to the piece. Prentzel's Sonata For Trumpet, Bassoon And Basso Continuo is a great example of Baroque period composition.
